Our Services

Lark Interiors is a boutique interior design and architectural firm.  Our work has been featured in D Home, Real Simple, and Style Me Pretty, and we’ve been named “Design Rising Stars” and one of Dallas’s “Top Designers” in various industry publications. While accolades are nice, however, the best part of our job is our clients. Our approach to each project is simple: to beautify and simplify our clients’ lives through design.  In other words, we work with you to design the best version of your home – embracing your unique aesthetic, quirks, and way of living. Think of us as Beyonce’s back-up dancers. We’re here to make you look good.

Architectural:

New Construction: We work with you to develop your dream home from scratch, taking you from initial sketches to final, photo-realistic renderings.  Our interior design experience allows us to bring a unique perspective to the architectural plans we create – always thinking about natural light, furniture placement, art moments, traffic flow, and sightlines.  Once the plans are approved by the client, we partner with a reliable group of engineers to provide documentation for permitting and construction. 

Renovations: Have you always wanted to knock down that wall, but you don’t know where to start?  We do.  When we’re brought onto a renovation, we provide comprehensive construction documents, including demo plans, interior and exterior elevations, and electrical plans.

Architectural Floorplan Review: Do you already have a plan?  We can take a thorough look at it to help you catch common mistakes and make simple suggestions for improvement.

New Construction:

With our experience in both design and on construction sites, Lark partners with your builder to ensure the integrity of your project from start to finish.

Build Budget: We help develop or review your build budget to ensure that the material allowances are in-line with your goals for the space.  This helps prevent budget busters from popping up later in a project.

Interior Selections: Lighting, appliances, tile, grout colors, door style, cabinet hardware, countertops, paint colors etc. – we’ve got you covered.  

Comprehensive Build Packet: We create a comprehensive construction packet that includes cabinet drawings, interior elevations, millwork drawings, tile layouts, reflected ceiling plans, and a spreadsheet of all selections and finishes.  Our construction packet provides your builder with a clear guide to ensure your space turns out just how you envision it.

Site Visits: From the framing walkthrough to the electrical and plumbing rough-in, to tile installation and punch lists, Lark is on-site, partnering with your builder to maintain the integrity of your home’s design.

Home Furnishings

For those who are looking to turn their house into a home, we provide full-service furnishing. We’ll floorplan, select pieces, manage procurement, and install to completion. All you have to do is show up. And, because our standards are high when it comes to furniture, we’ve developed longstanding relationships with the finest furniture makers, custom upholsterers, skilled artisans and trusted vendors to ensure that your pieces will be as comfortable and durable as they are beautiful.

 

Renovations & Additions

We provide comprehensive construction documents, including demo plans, interior and exterior elevations, cabinet drawings, and electrical plans.  By doing all the planning up front, we are able to provide contractors a specific scope of work, resulting in accurate estimates for our clients.  Partnering with our client’s preferred contractor, we then make frequent site visits, answer the contractor’s questions, and ensure the integrity of the design is maintained throughout the construction process.
