Principal Designer and Owner of Lark Interiors, an Interior Design Firm in Texas

I’m a Northeasterner who never expected to land in Dallas but fell hard for the warm Texas winters and people.  Now not even a Levain double-chocolate cookie could lure me back to New York City.  (Well, maybe if there were two.)

My design style is a mix of modern and traditional elements.  I love unexpected color and vintage items that make a space feel unique and collected.  I’ve never met a brass bird I didn’t like.  My work has been featured by publications like D Home, Real Simple, My Domaine, and Style Me Pretty. I’ve been named one of Dallas’s best designers by D Home, a “rising design star” in Dallas Market magazine, one of 2024’s Next in Design 99 by Luxe Magazine.

My clients are the
best part of my job. 

My commitment to life-friendly design was born out of necessity. I have three kids who occasionally do things like paint their fingernails on the white dining room chairs or drink blue Gatorade on the living room sofa.  We recently added to the chaos by getting a puppy.  In other words, my home is my laboratory.  I know from experience what finishes truly stand up to real life.

As a owner of an interior design firm in Dallas, Texas, I work with families all over the Dallas Fort Worth area—from Preston Hollow to Frisco to Southlake.  My clients are the best part of my job.  Being allowed into their lives to help them create a home is a privilege.

Alison Ames

Ali is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s College of Architecture.  Prior to joining Lark, she honed her skills working at some of the top architecture and design firms in the country (you likely have some of her work saved on your Pinterest boards without knowing it.)  She’s originally from Tulsa and the proud mom of Mr. Bates--her trick-doing, Chewy-modeling, and generally adorable King Charles Cavalier.  Ali is a talented baker and an expert crafter.  Her personal style can be described as “Parisian apartment” and she’s never met a Liberty of London print she didn’t like.

Kate Menefee
Project Coordinator

Kate is the girl behind the curtain, making everything run smoothly. Her design style is quirky and fun—and her DIY skills are the envy of us all. Recent projects include building a deck and tiling her bathroom. She is as hilarious as she is talented. She gives us all of our best content and is undoubtedly the reason we’re laughing half the time. Not only does she keep everything in line at work, she’s a rockstar mom to two cool kids and a fellow Diet Coke addict. Basically, she’s awesome.

Kailey Grassi
Junior Designer

Kailey earned her Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from the University of North Texas in 2023. She is the resident “young person” on our team and a home-grown Dallas girl. With a deep passion for design matched only by her love for dogs, she shines as a CAD expert. Her unique talents extend to reciting every Mamma Mia song and identifying obscure livestock breeds. It goes without saying that she is a valuable and delightful part of our team!

Marketing Director

A true Texan at heart—though she left a piece of it in the Windy City. Lesley is as comfortable crafting a killer marketing strategy as she is getting lost in a good book. Her love for design shines through as she uses her marketing prowess to shine a light on Lark Interiors - a self-described “dream come true!” With a master’s degree in journalism and strategic marketing, plus PR agency experience under her belt, no matter the task, she’s a "figure it out" kind of gal. Lesley never meets a stranger—just future friends!
